I'm planning on doing a ship-based campaign this coming semester, and would like to hear from anyone who has ever had any experience with something along these lines.

What I'm planning is to have them start out on a pirate chasing vessel out of Waterdeep. Once they get enough money, they can get their own ship, and then they can go and be pirates or still chase them. Not to mention all the wacky islands and ghost ships. But, it's just some of the finer points (mainly ship to ship combat) that I'd like some advice on.

not to mention the whole shipwreck on a unknown island with no escape scenario, maybe an island of only dire beasts and the like would be interesting, but its my opinion and I know how far that got me last year.
dude, coming back this year, you are already jumping on us with these digs, and the defensive attitude. probably not conducive to garnering a game invite

yes I know I still appear to be mad about last years group we where apart of, plus I had the gut feeling that I wouldn't get an invite anyway because of one reason, I am me.
I wouldn't say "I am me," as much as "I'm kind of a moron with no logical thought processes."

The word "bi-partisan" usually means some larger-than-usual deception is being carried out.

Because.....your posts are usually nonsensical drivel with abysmal grammatical aptitude which just reduce your credibility and make you sound like a fucking moron? I don't know......just a guess.
