yea, i've got to say as far as the graphics it was hyped up. I'm sure it'll be a great game, I've liked all the others and rise of nations. I need a rts game pretty badly, been months and months since my last one.

Starcraft is still the best RTS.

I never really liked warcraft or starcraft. I bet aoe3 will look better once you get into advanced ages.

i really don't think theres been better rts out than wc and sc just game play wise, they prove to be fun and fun again compared to other rts that seem to move along the lines of mass and mass some more with rarely used strategies, i remember aoe2 was like that, everyone would get the british archer dudes, or the hand cannoners, knights and other melee were basically useless to just mass cheap effective range.

now civ 4 i don't consider true rts, more of strat imo, and i like those games and don't think its worth comparing them to wc and the likes.

I don't consider it to be a true rts because it's turn-based!

Private: "Sir! Enemy Tanks have moved within a mile of the city! Should we send some anti-armor troops to meet them?!"

Sarge: "No son. It's not our turn."

------------------

Fighter 1: "Ahh! I have been struck with a sword! How unfortunate!"

Fighter 2: "Yes, and now it is your turn to strike me back!"

I have Civ III, and love it. With this exception, having some n00b's archers kill my tanks pisses me off more than can be described.

that does kind of suck, they should have put some kind of unit 'bare minimum' for killing them.

I'm not exactly sure how a guy with a bow and arrow takes out a panzer.
