Yeah, I first saw it at the Apple showcase on that rediculously huge monitor. I watched it a good 3 times then 2 more times later on that day. I immediately got hooked on it. The movie trailer alone is badass and can't wait until it releases.

Yay I saw it there as well. I saw it first in theaters when I went to see Serenity. The sound was much better than at the apple demo. Movie does look like a winner. The characters reminded me of October Sky(few of the same people) and I love that movie. So good things should happen.

Read the book first, if you get a chance. It's short, quick read.

I thought it looked kinda stupid from the previews. But iv never been a fan of war movies.

what book is it after? i've been wanting to read "Shooter". it's a book about a top marine sniper during desert storm. the bookstore had it but someone bought it before i could make up my mind. the reviews i've read said the book is like crack. some will read it twice in a day.

Jarhead is the book's title.

Also wanted to add, that I think the movie is going to skew Anthony Swofford's original intention of his memoirs. THey're probably going to make the movie more of an anti-war movie, rather than a movie about the Marine Corps and taking orders as an elite killing force regardless of how you feel about the politics and Anthony Swofford's personal experience as a scout/sniper for the Marines.

On a totally random note, why are they called "jarheads" anyway?

I think it has something to do with the haircut..
