i have this card
XFX PVT43ANDF3 Geforce 6600GT 128MB GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Video Card - Retail
and i was wanting to get a lower profile hsf then the one on it. id like to be able to put something in my pci slot in my sff case, but when i do my fan doesnt get any air since it sits right up against the pci card... so kind of annoying
any ideas ive tried looking for new hsf but im not sure where to look really, and google didnt turn up what i was hoping.
passive or fan would be fine

There is no way you'd fit a passive cooler in a small space, those suckers are huge. You might want to check this out: http://www.xoxide.com/vantec-iceberq-5.html It was the shortest hsf I could find in a quick search.
It seems like if it was just an issue of airflow you could maybe just look into creatively mounting a fan?
