I posted this the other day, but it was deleted for some reason....
I just got a Subwoofer wall installed in my Grand Cherokee and intend on competing this spring.
Here is a picture of the inside view....
Here is what it looks like from the back...
It's 4 memphis 15" subs hooked up to a 1000D amp that I have running at one ohm. The other amp in the back is my hooked up to my mids and highs, and it's 4X50 rms. It was done here in town at elite audio, they do excellent work. The guy who builds boxes for them is getting his Ph.D here...I forget what field.

Jared at Elite Audio(where it was built) said it hits from the upper 150's to possibly low 160's. But those db mics are in the neighborhood of $2000 a piece. I'll be competing in spl (sound pressure level) competitions.
Jared said with my current setup...which is apparently amateur....I should win a lot of 1st place trophies in my wattage class...If I win enough (he said I should), I could make it to world finals. If I make it to world finals, Jared will hook me up with his memphis car audio representative and they will give me free shit! My next subs are $800 a piece, so I wouldn't mind getting them for free....
I'm pretty used to reversing with my side mirrors, they're pretty big.
The sound ordinances here are pretty lax, plus, I don't drive everywhere with the subs blazing...I'm the type that will turn it way down at a red light with people around or in a neighborhood....back home though, my neighbor is the chief of police, so I can get out of those tickets....(based on prior experience)
And, do you think that I could ebay that rifle?..yes, it is more expensive...

No, ebay won't deal with firearms... but I'd be willing to bet that if you mounted one in your truck, you'd be in the 300* dB range! Of course, you'd have bullets flying out of your truck at however many bpm... you'd just need an armor panel on the back door! Sounds like a winning plan to me!
* I just looked it up - it's actually about 180 dB. Most gunfire is in the 140-150 dB range. I am glad you are courteous enough to turn them down out of respect for other drivers. Thank you.

memphis sucks imo, shoulda gone with diamond subs and usamps. Might be a little more pricey though. But I knew a guy that had 1 10in diamond d9 sub and was hitting 130-140db with less than 1000W.
