I use an older nVidia driver, just because of that, and the refresh rate overrides didnt work after I updated the driver.

I go by the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mantra with my drivers... unless I have a problem that I can't figure out, I don't update.. seems to work rather well...

which ones are you using?

I'm using 82.12 right now and it works really well. I usually go to http://www.guru3d.com to check out the latest beta drivers and to see what other people have to say about the new driver releases on their forums.

I recently installed 81.98. So what is probably the best driver to use?

I know this isn't an answer that you want to hear, but it really does depend on your individual system. If you want, you can go to those guru3d forums and look at benchmarks for the latest beta drivers. You may find someone that has a system that is pretty close to yours, and you could try the drivers that they are using. Other than that, you just have to try a bunch of them out and see which work best.
