adobe premier is nice if you want to do more

the most user-friendly program ive seen is pinnacle studio, it is extremely user friendly and does everything from importing to burning a DVD

Pinnacle Studio is about as easy as it gets for almost any application you'd need.

Premiere and Final Cut Pro, are very advanced compared to Pinnacle for the basic operations. But are much more powerful. By your discription, I'd say your task dosen't require the extra stuff in Premiere or F.C.Pro.
