Yup, it was a big boom that shook lots of stuff. Probably an F16, F15, or F/A 18 that decided to hit the go-fast button.

I still find it incredibly humorous when people say things like, "Were they blasting at the experimental mine?"

It would have to be a hell of an overcast day, combined with a bag or two of unconfined ANFO to get a boom loud enough to hear across town, and that's not even going to get you any shaking, or "roofs falling in".
