I heard this morning on 96.7 kcmq that a wealthy businessman is donating $5 million to the UMR campus. Supposedly it's going to be used to renovate/expand the University Center. Now, I think there are better ways they could have spent that money. Anyone have any good ideas?

Yes, he is an alumus from the class of around 58' i think. He runs a successful business down in texas.. It is the largest donation to UMR coming from a private donator that they have ever had. as far as where is could be better spent... I dont think it matters where it goes towards. Since i believe they were already planning on spending >$10M expanding the University Center, it is just money that is absorbed into the UMR budget.

There may be a better place to spend it, but I really don't know where I'd put 5M in this college. UC sounds about as good a place as any. If you think there's a better place, put your ideas up here, Brainiac, and we'll see what we think about it.

How about putting up a building for a nursing or a fine arts school and getting some poontang in the town?
