I have a regular notepad file on my computer ****.txt

and when I upload it to my AFS using FTP and open it up on a campus machine it is all one line with boxes where line breaks should be. lil help please.

try using WordPad, or...open it real quick with wordpad (on campus) save it... and then open it with notepad.

The little boxes are basically the newline chars, and notepad doesn't like those. Same with tab boxes, etc.

Just open in Wordpad or something, copy the text, should work fine.

When sending the .txt by FTP, switch to binary mode. Don't transfer it in ASCII mode. Yes, it's quite backwards, but it should do the trick.
