Is anyone as excited about the upcoming baseball season as I am?? I consider myself a Cardinal's fanatic, and this promises to be an interesting season (not least because of the new ballpark), but every time I start blabbing on about the sport, no one seems to want to listen. So, is anyone else out there a baseball fan??

Baseball is one of those sports that I'd much rather play than watch. I can't stand watching it on TV, and even when I go to a game, I find that I pay a lot more attention to those around me and to food than the actual game. Of course, the Royals aren't exactly much to root for.

I just love the style of the game. Some call it boring, but I find amazingly engrossing. I imagine it's like the argument people have for enjoying watching chess, or another game deriving from thought. I'm a sucker for anticipation, and there's no greater anticipation in sports than the full count, bases loaded, 2 out pitch, hands down.

How bout them Royals? They might only lose 100 games this year.

I can't wait to catch a game in the new stadium. I love going to baseball games, I just hate watching them on TV. If i'm there watching it happen its alot of fun for me.

im hoping they (the Royals) do well, last year they teased us, staying on like 95 losses for a week or so, but then went on and fell to whatever and 100+......oh well. do they broadcast those games on the radio down here? theyre good to listen to when working or doing homework and such

I was just at the by the new stadium tonight for mardi gras. It looks pretty nice, but almost exactly the same as the old one.

Oh, and I'm one of those baseball fans who loves watching games, but fails to schedule my life so I can see them. So, basically I watch baseball games that happen to be on when i turn on the tv (which is very rare).

I like the baseball season, probably more because of fantasy baseball than anything else.

I just can't find it myself to get excited about a single baseball game when there's 161 more to be played.

See, but to me it's great just to be able to KNOW that I can turn on the T.V/Radio on any given night/afternoon and have a baseball game playing.

Speaking of fantasy baseball...anyone interested in getting a Rolla league going?

I'd be down for that. Never have played fantasy baseball before, though.

I like baseball, but only the cardinals. After classes are over its fun to just sit around doing homework with the game on in the background. The cards should win it all this year. Rolen should be healthy +Pujous is da man +carpenter coming of a Cy young, what else could you ask for.
Spring Training in just over 1 day
