hey guys i know the odds of me getting my bike back are slim, but it was stolen today outside of the schrenk. it is a small bmx style bike, a S&M Dirtbike Classic to be exact. the frame is dark colored bare metal known as a "raw" color, it is almost black though. The rims are chrome and the bike has two black pegs on the left side of the bike (back and front). The bike means a lot to me and if anyone has seen it i really don't want to charge anyone, i just want it back. any help would be appreciated! thanks and have a nice day. -danny

Sorry man, you should file a police report anyway. If they see it, they can bring it in then. If not, I'd start checking the high school.

It is events like this that make me weary of buying a bike and riding around here. I really don't want to sink $100+ into something so that it can just walk off...

Or you can do what I did and get a shitty-ass Huffy and ride it till it rusts apart.

Out of curiosity, did you have it locked to something?

Or spend an extra $10 on a bike lock which makes it much harder to steal....

Yeah, Huffys are not so good. I had one and it almost killed me. Literally. I was crossing tenth on it and the back axle snapped. It just snapped. Threw me onto the ground with traffic coming. Luckily the oncoming explorer was paying attention and saw me.
I admit, I'm a little on the chunky side but theres no way that axle should have just snapped like that.

I'm also missing my bike.

I think it would be worth calling campus maintinence to see if it was ditched behind bushes or something.

Maybe I'll learn to lock things up

Having a huffy doesn't mean it wont be stolen... :x

I'll (like everyone else) keep an eye out for it. I found my stolen huffy 2 years after it was stolen in some apartments' bushes. It was in peices... it was a shame.

You cant leave anything out in this town. I once left my truck unlocked for about 20mins and someone swiped all my CD's. Gay Bastards.

I thought I lost my bike once, then about 4 months later I found it outside the ChemE building. It had the same lock on it. The stupid thief was using my lock that I still had a key for.

For those of you who are slow, I actually just forgot where I parked it.
