From the looks of it, the inner wheel has to fold to support the outer rubber part. As long as they can't make that inner part out of gay ass flashy chrome that is brighter than the sun, I'm all for it.

I kinda hope that the final model has the sides covered... I just don't think that it's very attractive to be riding on what looks like an advanced bicycle wheel...

I read about this when I was a sophomore. That was a looooooong time ago. They still called it the Tweel. It sounded retarted back then, still does. It appears they have made only minor improvements since then, but started a major PR campaign.
