ive got a p4 2.8 533 fsb and an amd 3000+...

which would be better for gaming, given taht all the rest was the same?

im thinking the amd is but im not entirely sure

Are we talking about a Athlon 64 or a Sempron here (not sure if there is a Sempron 3000+ specifically, but they're around there). Definitely the 64, and I'd still lean toward the Sempron. Mostly because I'm an AMD fanboy, but they make pretty mean overclockers, too.
