people please do a search on their computer for .eml files,
and fix them!!!!!!
I have protection on my computer but I have to tell norton to close like 400 files every now and then because nimda will copy itself on other peoples shared files...

Search for *.eml in seek42. Look for files that are 77.37 kb in size. More often than not, this indicates that the person has (unintentionally?) enabled write access to their shares.
Simply open their folders and start deleting their files. You can leave them a nice little message at the end, letting them know how stupid they are.
Stamp out the ignorant. Then maybe people will learn how to use their own computer.

The only problem is, nimda make you share stuff...

Yes, nimda shares the root of any drive in your system, including removable storage like cdrom drives. It shares them read/write, but deleting all their .eml files won't fix it either, the memory resident portion will just create more.

and yet, some of us who don't use windoze (sic) also have eml files. why is this? becuase we have a directory called uploads, shared read-write, for the specific purpose of having shit uploaded to us. if you see a .eml file in a directory named upload, don't worry, they most likely don't have nimda. just don't click on the #$%#$^ file and you'll be safe peeps.
Okay, I'm not going to argue with you over whether or not they "most likely" have nimda. In my "watching of other people completely erasing somebody else's shares," more have had nimda than haven't. Have you tried it yourself? Or are you just generalizing based on your case?
As for nimda making you share stuff, some sadistic people would like that because it allows them to erase more of your files. They would say "that's what you get for being ignorant."
Notice that this post does not reflect my actions, only the actions of other people. And the controversial views posted are also not mine. That's why there's quotes.
