No joke. Except it's with my Mom/her work rather than my grandma. Get this, my mom forwards me this email saying I should register my cell phone on the national "do not call" list, because every cell phone number is going to be released to marketing companies in just 30 days. So I check snopes, and wouldn't you guess? it's fake. So I tell my mom, and she says "that's funny, the IT department at my work sent that to everybody at work". Which got me thinking... what the hell kind of IT guy doesn't know to check on things like that before forwarding to EVERY person in the company (we're talking of maybe 1000 employees)? Really now, they can check their facts before scaring 1000 people.
