Yeah I got on here to find out the same thing. It doesn't make sense. There's not another Wendy's being built, to my knowledge. So why tear it down... it was in decent shape it seemed so it wouldn't make sense to totally restart if they were remodeling it. And if they decided to go out of business it wouldn't make sense to tear the building down when they could just rent it out or sell it to somebody else. Maybe somebody just wanted to buy the land it was on and not the building... I don't know, it's madness...
Probably a good thing though, with Wendy's gone I will eat less fast food.
Update...one of my friends says they are completely redoing the building and it will be back in 3 months. I don't know if that's true; just what I've heard.
One of the girls that works behind the counter told us a while ago when we were getting food that it was going to shut down for a few months for remodling. It will be back.

Would have been nice for them to put up signs or something, but then again I guess this is better marketing. Get everyone speculating as to what the fuck happened and then when it reopens they get a temporary boost of business as people will go to see what happened.
I know they've had technical problems in the past from lightning strikes and such so I just figured that one of the many storms in the last few weeks finally did the building in to the point that they needed to rebuild.

Is it not nifty?
I also heard it's supposed to be a bit fancier, and something about separate payment and food windows. Hopefully there won't be that annoying railing right in front of the drivethru exit of the new one.

Yeah, that was the best spicy chicken sandwich (it was actually spicy! Suck that McDonalds, Burger King, and Hardees!) around.
When I happened to be in Wendy's one day, they said "we're closing on sunday and will be closed for three months" I decided right then and there to eat there a lot and get tired of it before they shut down. So far, it's worked.

I tried a McDonald's spicy chicken sandwich, and it sucked ass. Wendy's is 10x better. I try not to eat fast food very much, but when I do it is hard to beat a Spicy Chicken...or a thickburger....yum.

Yeah I used to work there for about 3 months back in Spring of 2004 (I was really poor and needed money). The manager said that they were going to be getting a new restaurant soon. I'm surprised it hadn't been done until now. I can't wait for it to come back. Even after working there I still can't get enough of their spicy chicken.
