Anybody know a UMR student, faculty, or staff that drives what I believe was a 2006 BMW 330i? It was a dark green color. It had a UMR parking sticker on it.

I was getting onto 44 east from 63 north with this said BMW behind me, and as I proceed to get on the highway, I noticed he wanted to play after I gave it a little gas down the on ramp.

It wasn't much of a competition, all I'm really posting is to say whether you win or lose, you still don't have to drive like a moron and weave in and out of traffic to act cool. After he figured out I wasn't going to follow, he finally took off.

And just because I'm bored I'll add this picture I just found.

The Blue 2005 STi that you may or may not have seen around town, since there is only one other one in rolla, and its silver.

My car is running on a basemap and no heat shield over the turbo right now, I ordered one yesterday, but my top mount intercooler is starting to get some major heat soak when I drive around town.

I'm all for forced induction, but every time a pulled a car with the LS1, they had some lame excuse of how something wasn't working right, etc. Now I'm sure your car would have beat the Z28, but why is it when you get called out, you have to make excuses?

Well, first off, I didn't really take that as a callout, which if it was, whatever. Second, that was a statement, not an excuse, it is what is going on, since the weather is getting warmer, it happens, the air isn't as dense, since my power is made with a turbo, I tend to notice that, and not having a heat shield doesn't help the matter any.

Obviously, if I cared about winning every race I was in, I would have chased that BMW down 44 at speeds around 120-140mph, and could be dead now because of it. I bought my car because I like it, do you race everything that rev's at you?

I also said it, because he said he was running on a shitty tune, which doesn't help him either, depending on what his car will run in the first place, which I don't know the answer to that.

I didn't mean for that to be a direct dis to you.

Yes, actaully, if the road is clear for a bit, I don't see anything wrong with putting the foot down for a while. If I lose, I give em the thumbs up and props for winning. I don't tell them that I haven't changed my air filter in a while, my tire pressure was a few psi too high, and in my last LS1edit progamming I put the pussy tune to it.

Now with the bike, its different. A car vs a bike from a roll is a joke.

lol I haven't cleaned my K&N air filter in a long time, maybe I should do that.

A car Vs a bike from a roll is a joke, depending on whether or not you are racing a 1000hp supra lol...then you might be the joke. Its always crazy to watch a bike lose to a car.

Hehe, I think it would be pretty cool to get pulled by a car. I'm not sure it would take quite that much car to beat my bike though. The 600 only runs mid-low 11's, so I'm sure there are cars around that would have a good chance. The Sti's run low 13's stock don't they?
Have you had your car to the track?

Heh, I think you might be the guy from my IDE20 group. I remember you telling me something about having a bike. Never knew you had an LS1, nice cars and easy to make quick.

Yea it's got a shitty tune. I just rebuilt the engine and transmission and finally got it running last weekend so I decided to drive it down here to put some miles on it to break it in. Anyways last night I went out and it was finally time to get on it so I started doing some pulls and it's still running really really rich (wideband was showing 10.5afr ) I just need more time to bring my laptop out with it and do a few more pulls. And I hate roll racing, but I'm definitely not used to the 6 puck disc I'm using now. There's no way I'd pull a 1.7 60' with it like I used to with the OEM clutch. Probably only a 2.2-2.3 until I get used to how quick this clutch grabs.

Anyways I guess it sort of was a callout, but I really don't care. There's more than enough cars worth running in St. Louis than there are here. And it did run low 12s on pump gas before it broke when I was trying to get an 11sec pass on racegas :(

Yeah, depends on the driver, and the weather, but more the driver, and getting used to AWD when you are taking off, the STi tranny is a picky bastard, I just ordered a short throw shifter finally, it is suppose to be about 60% shorter if I adjust to the lowest setting, so it will soon be fun learning to drive my 6 speed again.

I put a stealth back exhaust on my car and upgraded the to a COBB stage 2 basemap (Damn did that change the top end power). Which should make my car run high 12's. But, I have not been to the track with it since I bought it, I need to remove the winter tires that are on it lol. I will probably take it to KCIR this summer since I will be interning in KC again.

Always sucks when you pop one. Every one I've blown up seemed like it ran the best right before it went up in a cloud. This one was last years casualty. 388 with only 14 laps on it. Popped it at 7800 rpm :D

Pretty well ruined everything. Bent a valve and ruined the head casting broke a roller rocker, broke lifters in half. We got a good 4 cylinder cam out of the deal :P
