Internship near DC.

Oh, how I miss Missouri driving. I've only been here for 3 days and I think I've almost died about 7 times due to the fact that, apparently, traffic signs/lights mean nothing to people here.

My sister's got an internship in DC too...I'm driving there with her next week to share the driving and then flying back. Sounds like driving in DC will be fun :(

Although, I've driven in New Orleans and New York, probably the 2 worst cities as far as driving goes, so I'm used to it.

I am not sure. I am in Jonesboro Ar-kansas, and yesterday, I was out in the foundry, swinging a 20 lb sledge all morning, the grinding castings in the afternoon, today, I am in the office (which is good, since I am sore as hell) all day, answering the phones.... I can only imagine what I will be doing the rest of the summer.

I'm running a summer program in July and helping with others in June (Yay me!).

And I'm from New Orleans.. the driving there is definitely not bad. DC and Chicago are much worse.

Got an internship here in the Detroit area (home). Traffic blows as they have decided to reconcstruct any highway that they can find it seems, so a normal 15-20minute drive has turned into 40-50 minutes on regular roads.

do you work for a mine by any chance?

Im in Tucson Arizona. People here don't know how to drive. It's freaking hot down here..100F everyday. Everything in the desert will harm or kill you( snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions). It's also expensive. $10 to go see a movie and gas is $3.00 a gallon. Ohh yeah...it's fucking hot here.

I'll be working for Group Workcamps. I leave Sunday for Denver, CO where I'll spend two weeks at Estes Park training. After that I'll be at a different place in the US every 2 weeks or so.
