My burner is running extremely slow. Its bogging down my system when I just put in a data DVD to move something and its taking forever to copy a file from a DVD to my hard drive. (like 1hour + when it used to take 3 min top.)

I scanned my system for viruses in both regular mode and safe mode. I tryed cleaning my lense. does anyone else have any ideas?

what process is bogging it down exactly? sometimes explorer will try to read file info like play times and bitrates for media and that could be the issue. bugs the hell outta me when i'm trying to delete a file and i'm forced to wait while windows analyzes every single other file in the folder.

just a thought...
