Whats up with the new system? I tried to pay part of my bill online, and I get redirected to another site, which charges me money to pay UMR, and doesn't allow VISA cards. :?

If this is some "improvement", it needs to die.

Actually, UMR stopped accepting credit card payments itself because it was costing them "millions". I guess they shunted it to a third party who charges the difference so they don't lose any money.

Yeh thats what I was thinking. I could drive to Rolla [in the car I don't have] for less than that "third-party" company was charging.

I had to do eCheck. I liked using my debit card because my bank gives me some slight percentage cash back, and tuition is expensive, thus, something significant in cash-back

I was always under the impression that it was illegal for companies to pass credit card processing fees onto customers. Guess not.

I mean no offense, but you should be old enough by now to know that there are always loopholes in rules protecting consumers.

ahh, but should you have a man whose word is law, and he says "no testing on stem cells and no loopholes", is there a loophole still?
