Whats up with the new system? I tried to pay part of my bill online, and I get redirected to another site, which charges me money to pay UMR, and doesn't allow VISA cards.

If this is some "improvement", it needs to die.

Actually, UMR stopped accepting credit card payments itself because it was costing them "millions". I guess they shunted it to a third party who charges the difference so they don't lose any money.

Yeh thats what I was thinking. I could drive to Rolla [in the car I don't have] for less than that "third-party" company was charging.

I had to do eCheck. I liked using my debit card because my bank gives me some slight percentage cash back, and tuition is expensive, thus, something significant in cash-back


I was always under the impression that it was illegal for companies to pass credit card processing fees onto customers. Guess not.

I mean no offense, but you should be old enough by now to know that there are always loopholes in rules protecting consumers.
