So, my computer is quite noisy. It has a couple Masscool 80mm fans in it atm, rated at 26.5 dB each, or so, but I find this to be a bit on the loud side. Anybody recommend a good *quiet* fan/brand?

Sorry to hijack the thread, but since the topic seems to be noise:
My hard drives are stuck in acoustic-quality mode, meaning they are much slower. My BIOS has no ability to change these settings, so can someone point me in the right direction for some software to do this?

Do you have the newest version of your bios? Also is their some sort of jumper on your harddrive for this setting?
You don't change acoustic mangement settings in your bios for hds. Get the utility cd for you hard drive from your manufacturer. It may or may not allow you to change (depending on the brand) those settings. You also might want to try getting the ultimate boot cd, it has quite a few of those utility images.
SilenX fans are really good, but also very expensive. I think they may be the quietest fans on the market.
They are quite good, I put several into my last case. However, a decent 120 mm fan will do an even better job as my new setup has. This is easily the quietest gamer I have ever built.

Linux lets you modify acoustic variables and other stuff via the hdparm utility. (Unless they are SATA/SCSI, then it may not work) You might be able to do that with the manufactuer boot cd.
