Try to purchase your book at University Book and Supply. Generally cheaper, better service, and much more polite then the University Book store. Unfortunately UMR will not allow them to charge your student account (and or they would charge UB&S too much to do so).
The best Chinese restaurant in town is Mandarin Garden (past Wal-Mart coming from campus) in my personal opinion. STAY AWAY from Lucky House!!! (IMO)

Hey, don't be bad mouthing Lucky House. Fast, cheap, and fairly decent chinese food AND on top of all that you don't have to leave your car... doesn't get much better for a poor lazy college student.

We are talking about the food right?

This is the semiofficial Seek42 back up forums. Get your user name while it is still available.
Please note: This is not meant to be a Seek replacement by any means, just a back up…

dont smoke in lounges (unless permitted)
dont post directions to make a hookah out of a sobe bottle
dont play loud music if your RA is around/anal
if you dont want to stick out as a freshman, dont act so damn excited about college, i.e. being at class 20 minutes early, yelling to everyone your drunk after 2 shots, clump in huge groups of freshman. Meet people have some good ole times.
oh and unless they changed it, meal points are taken at:
Dominos
Little Caesars
Papa Johns
some more but thats all i ever used them at.
Don't be a douchebag to people you live with...that causes a lot of problems that you prolly wouldnt expect.
And you can be excited about college and not stick out too much. Maybe having a winning football team will actually start to build some school spirit (I know, what a novel concept).

Although I dont live in the dorms anymore (thank god), please remember, the elevators arent toys, jumping up and down in them makes trouble for yourself and everyone else. Also dont forget to shower.

Remember, it's okay to zombify yourself in front of your computer for 20 hours a day, but speaking with another person (not counting your roommate) at least once a week is good for the psyche.
