I would like to know how much of our money the University is wasting on this. IMO, Cdigix should be paying UMR for the promotion. 128 kbps is crap on even a halfway decent stereo. If they want to charge us, even by billing the University and getting money through us that way, they need to get quality music, and hire some competent developers for the interface. I told them to cancel my subscription. I smell Pork all over this deal.
The university pays them every month for every subscription I read somewhere, so if you signed up for it and no longer use it, cancel it, otherwise they are just swindling more money.

It kinda makes sense, they paid for this contract and all the servers. If there weren't many people subscribing They were still paying the montly fee, so they probably figured just let it be free to everyone. Ok so its a stretch, but at least you aren't paying for music that you can only listen to until you graduate.
i have a way to make it into an mp3 and it does all the work for you. its a program called tunebite. i used it for napster when i had the free trial.... got some good music for free.

Except you're converting an already lossy format to another lossy format that way.

The word "bi-partisan" usually means some larger-than-usual deception is being carried out.
