Anybody know why Points is delivery only now? Tried to get carry out earlier and found out. Pain in the ass.

Just have them deliver it to your car in the parking lot.

To my knowledge, it's always been that way, but it was never enforced.

It has technically allways been that way. I would imagine they have a new bean counter at Chartwells.

That's why points only work for pizza. Technically, the transaction is supposed to take place on-campus (or so I've been told). Apparently, knowing they'll be getting the boot soon, Chartwells has decided to enforce that rule.

If that is the true reason they are doing this, then they truly are the scum I think they are. But if they change to someone good, I might just eat on campus again. I never thought I'd see the day when I'd get to say that.

The campus isn't going to give Chartwells the boot, unless some shittier organization comes along willing to give the bigger kickbacks.....

Do you think if everyone bitched, whined, and moaned enough they would kick charthells to the curb?

I can deal with the food (iron stomach maybe?) but the prices at havener (where I typically have to eat due to my schedule) are absolutely insane. Decent meals cost at least 5-6 bucks, but they only allow you four in exchange for the meal. Sounds like a scam to me.

There are a lot of other food service companies. I bet one of them could beat out fartwells for the business.

By state law UMR must take the company who gives the lowest bid on the food contract and the only way to aviod this is to get chartwells on the "black list" (they need to do something bad).

Yeah...pretty sure that is not true with respect to the food contract. Someone with detailed info on the food selection process that is currently in effect should comment though...because they know more than I do.

And how many companies do they have to get bids from? I think you see where I am going here....

I think we've shown that no amount of whining will stop Chartwells. For anyone that is going to say that whining on seek doesn't count because we did not tell the correct people: that may be true for the last time that Chartwells got their contract renewed, but there has been enough complaints to the correct individuals since then. If they don't kick chartwells to the curb this time, then they pay less attention to the students than facebook's creepy news feed feature.
