Where do you guys buy stuff from. I know about newegg, but I was wondering about others so I could maybe, "shop around" a little....

newegg is usually the best place to buy parts, pricewatch.com usually has better prices, but they are an amazon type store that posts the best deals from websites they find- so it can be a risk. Also petersons on pine street is good if you are looking for older components or other randomn stuff

I have used http://www.outpost.com on occasion for some good deals as wel.

And I hear that http://www.tigerdirect.com can be good if you know what you want already.

There's much controversy over the validity of TigerDirect's rebate system, however, so try to avoid their rebates. ZipZoomFly.com is usually comparable to Newegg's prices, but I've always used Newegg.

Ditto on tigerdirect's rebates. I've had 5 rebates with them and only 3 have actually worked.

Outpost is a good place for harddrives

Also check out deal sites like http://www.bensbargains.net or http://www.techbargains.com since they ussually will have pretty good deals listed on their sites.

Newegg is by far the best overall experience for Comp parts.

Monarch Computer also has some good stuff. Also Buy.com often has cheep flash drives. I have a 1GB that I got there for $15 ($25 - $10 mir). I have gotten all my hardware from Newegg, Zipzoomfly, and Monarch. There are also often coupons for AMD CPUs at Monarch posted on hardforums.com

Ya, I've never gotten my rebates from Tiger either. I even called up there 5 or so times to get my money, and each time they told me they were "crediting my card", but they never did....lol

NewEgg wins on price, service, and shipping. Though you can get some sweet deals if you buy your stuff used off of the Seek42 or the Anandtech forums.

Those are the best that I've used. Pricegrabber usually points me to one of the three.
