I am looking for an older mac machine, a G3 500 or better. I am open to anythine, imac, emac, or laptop. Let me know what you have.

I have an iBook G3-500 and a G3-700, both 12 inch models. The logic board on the 700 was bad and the 500 had a cracked LCD, so I swapped the good LCD, 20 gig hard drive, 512 MB stick, Airport card, and combo CDRW/DVD drive to the 500.

Basically I have 1 complete working iBook and another iBook in pieces. I picked up another LCD from eBay a while back, so the other iBook is only a logic board short of being complete. The G3 originally had a 10 gig hard drive and CD drive.

It would help if I knew what you wanted and shoot me an offer for those specific parts.

Also the complete laptop is running OS X Tiger. If you want to run an older version I have the restore discs too.

I just bought an 800Mhz logic board. If it works I plan to swap the nicer parts back to the "G3-700" iBook and return the G3-500 back to its original config

Let's start over shall we? :)

iBook G3-500 with a 12 inch LCD
- 384MB memory (256MB stick + 128MB built-in)
- 10 Gig hard drive
- CD-ROM drive
- Original battery (30 min)
- Original restore discs (OS 9.1 and OS 10.0.3)

Options
- Airport wireless card
- Battery from G3-700 (5 hour)
- OS X 10.4 Tiger

Let me know how much that laptop is worth to you with that configuration. Also let me know if you want any of those options. Sorry for making things so confusing!
