It is one of the classes the residents at the res college have to take. I'm pretty sure any body can be in it though. It is a pretty fun class. First semester we had a design competition and the winners won ipods. The second semester we designed a St. Pats float and we recieved second in that competition. The professors are cool and it is a laid back class.

Its not as bad as some in the class would make it out to be so far this semester. Though if taking it count on it being quite a bit more than .5 credit hours work.

This semester we're working on a soapbox derby, and next semester it appears that we'll be making another float for the st. pats parade.

It is a pretty relaxed class, only a couple of actual assignments for the semester (a 1 page paper that can be done in a group, a design journal, attendence, and final peer evaluations).

The poor RC kids don't always listen to the fact that if you fail one of those required RC classes you get moved out of the RC.

I was in this in the beginning of the semester, after one class I switched to the research one instead of this design one. Now my grade is based solely on attendance...hopefully no one fails that.
