Anyone got a spare gigabit or firewire adapter?

Just hit the limit with 100 Mb, time to upgrade...

you will have to upgrade your switch too, and GB ethernet switches are expensive- i know i have been looking

Nah, already got a big Gb switch a la my roommate. If I go the gigabit route, this massive RAID5 array will be available to the both of us. Otherwise, it'll just be between my main box and the fileserver (hence why firewire would work; server has it, main box doesn't).
