anybody else haveing issues installing xp 64 on a core 2 duo system?

after the xp boot screen (you know the anoying scrolling bar) i get a black screen. Monitors still receive a signal.

I'm goin to try the other pci express slot but i'm sure that wont work.
EDIT -- nope didn't even work with a pci card

i have an nforce 570 chipset but i don't want to put the blame on the mobo quite just yet.

also when i tried to OC it only changed one of the cores. WTF!?!?!?

lol, i feel like a dumb ass. i grabbed the wrong hdd and was trying to install to a 2GB. Though i don't think this was the problem it would explain why it took for friggen ever.

I did put the 32 bit version on that 2 gig and got the fastest boot up in windows history. Only 1 scrolly bar.

Remember that the 64-bit version dropped a large number of legacy and compatability features from the 32-bit WinXP. It is quite reasonable to blame an especially old HDD.
