I'm looking for a Mac to buy cheap. My only real requirements are:

it (and all components) work, and it is able to run OS X. I'm looking for a laptop mainly, but will consider a desktop as well.

Thanks

How cheap is cheap? This is not something that's constant.

My brother and I have a large number of macs. Depending on what you're wanting to spend, I might be able to find something. I can't make many price quotes right now, as I'll have to talk to my brother first.

One computer that's for sale:
G4 Dual 500Mhz (gigabit ethernet)
512MB ram
80GB HD
CD-ROM (I can upgrade this)
Apple Pro keyboard/mouse
Geforce4MX video card from a G4 MDD (dual head, ADC)
$400
I know this is a little pricy, but my sister is using it right now, and I'd have to get her a replacement computer.

goblinman, do you have any USB apple keyboards laying around you would want to part with? I would prefer a Pro keyboard, but i will also take one of the older G3 style keyboards

Actually because I didn't hear back from anyone for so long I went and got a mac ibook from another dealer. If you happened to have an airport card though (note i'm looking for the regular airport, not the airport extreme), I'd be interested in that... Thanks for responding though.

Sorry, I already sold my airport cards. I bought them for cheap before they got discontinued. Good luck finding an airport card for under $100!

What kind of ibook is it? Those are some fun machines!

aww, thanks anyway maybe someone else on here will have one. It's a 12" G3 500MHz running under OS X 10.3. I can't wait to start having fun with it once these tests are over with this week!
