talked to my RA and he said that a fire pump for the sprinkler system failed and that sets the alarm off

No, but they are required to test the fire alarms monthly, which was done earlier today, and no one has to leave for it, they just have to endure it. Unlike the other campus buildings that they just install and forget.

I'm fully aware of what they are required to do, but they are required to do so at 10 AM. There are no drills.
