Has anyone ever heard of someone losing Missouri residency status? There doesn't seem to be anything clearly outlined in the statues regarding "losing" residency, but I wasn't sure if they actively monitored where your tax returns are filed or something.
This probably doesn't apply much to Rolla students, but for UMSL and UMKC campuses, a lot of people move back and forth across the border with Kansas and Illinois.
Hm, good question. I don't believe you actually lose residency so long as you still have an address in said state as well as a driver's license that hasn't expired from said state.
A quick google search for "Missouri residency" suprisingly brings up UMR's office of the registrar (http://campus.umr.edu/registrar/moresidency/) as the second result. And from what you have to do to become a resident I'd think that you're one until you declare residency in another state, which is why I'd guess there isn't a big hassle for inter-state students.
