I don't think I would have gotten out of the car until I had gotten the car out of the way, or, if I couldn't move the car, wait until traffic cleared or at least slowed down.

I know tires, and FWD/RWD/AWD can make a huge difference in weather like this, but I think a lot of problems in crappy weather are caused by lack of common sense, not tires or drivetrain

You really don't know much about those tires do you?

They will stop on a sheet of ice. The next problem is that once you stop, the person behind you will not be able to, especially in St. Louis where EVERYBODY is a dumbass.

True. Try driving around using summer performance tires. Your car will slide around like crazy then.

Ummmm...aren't you suppose to be working foofoodar??

I was under the impression that RWD was probably the worst to have one ice/snowy weather since there is basically no weight on the wheels.

No, I don't know much about the Blizzaks....

And yeah, everyone in STL is a dumbass when it comes to driving. And good tires do indeed help, but won't save you when some yuppie soccer mom in her H2 is busy chatting away on her cell phone not paying attention to anything else.
