Did anyone see the picture of our midget girls basketball team in the Miner? WTF would possess someone to put a picture in there like that?

The color edition did look nice (with the exception of the vertically shrunk picture of the girls basket ball team), however I would have thought it would be cheaper to print all issues in black and white if funding for the miner were an issue.

Believe it or not, that picture isn't squished. Look at the ads, the girls on the left, and the crowd. They're all correctly proportioned. It's just a bad picture because they're in mid-stride. Now, I wouldn't have put that picture in there, but it's not my call. I only get News... :| Oh, and thanks for the cheap shot, Ben. :cry:

We had almost $6,000 in ads, and a large portion of those were advertisers that paid for color ads, hence the color issue. There are several more coming up in which advertisers have paid for color issues for us soon.

the miner lately seems like they are making a decent effort to not suck as much. at least they're trying.

the mineshaft started out great. the last one shifted towards mediocrity.

No, she just didn't run for editor in chief this semester. Instead, someone else ran. She's graduating this semester, so she is trying to show him the ropes before she leaves.

Thanks. I know we have some very large color ads coming up several times, so expect many more color issues in the future.
