If he won he would probably do a segment on UMR. It would be an instant classic just like the Lewis Black piece. Plus, who could be possibly better than Stephen Colbert for UMR Student Body President 2007?

Campus fliers might be next.
We should all band together are start a massive write-in campaign for him. because it would be beyond amazing.

You need to vote in a dead guy just to make the other guys feel bad about loosing to a dead guy. (Remember John Ashcroft?) How about Joseph Stalin(just to piss some more people off)? There is nothing better to stop cold your political career then to loose to a dead guy that a lot of people hated.

Quick rundown of the presidential candidates leadership experiences:
Beth:
Ate, slept and breathed StuCo for the last 3 years, most of which time she has been on Exec Board. She's already involved in most of the important commitees on campus, and a few that aren't so important. She's well versed on alot of the more complicated situations that will more than likely have to deal with (read: The Miner), and knows exactly how big the pile of shit she's trying to get herself voted into. Oh yeah, and she's not a bitch.
Adam:
He's a sophmore who feels that he's well versed on campus diversity because he plays football and is involved in CCF. He lists being a captain of sports teams in HS. While being Captain of a 20, MAYBE 40 man track team is admirable, it's a far cry from leading 5,000+ students. Seeing that he has no StuCo experince, he can't possibly have any idea just how much bullshit he's in for. Dempsey alone will eat this kid for breakfast, and still ask for the Grand Slam.
Vote for who you want.

To me it is more boiling down to major. She is IDE (at least it is engineering) he is psychology. And, listing high school sports achievements after being enrolled in college=! cool.

Yeah, we should organize something like this for sure.
Just FYI...write ins are not allowed to my knowledge.
I was thinking about this and you may be right, but who do I need to contact to raise hell to allow write in votes? I don't understand how they can hold an election, and not allow the student population to choose an alternate candidate if they choose to do so. Wouldn't this be against the bylaws of our student government?

I will back up mad duck's assessment of Beth (don't know Adam), known her for a couple years now, really can't think of a single bad thing to say, and she has been that involved in StuCo.

Are you a moron? Why would they want to allow someone to be nominated who doesn't want to run? (because why would someone not run properly if they wanted to be nominated)
