I thought it might be interesting to get a rough list of some of the strange crap that has gone on since you were at Rolla. Not Myths, like Zeus (sp) but things that actually happened. Gimme what you got, I know I have more, but this is all I can think of right now.
Of course the Bomb threat
Miner Lawsuit
Multiple power outages
The kid who was "kidnapped" a year or two ago and it turned out he just freaked out and ran away.

Assuault/Rape last year
Zeus is a true story, look it up.
Solar Car
Name Change
The Miner getting a teacher fired for sexual H (I'll give you 1 guess who wrote the story)
The guy who got fired suing the miner for bad references.
The Chancellor's house catching fire 2 wks after he takes office
All of that, plus the pizza guy being robbed at gunpoint behind Campus Support a year or two ago.
I don't know if they count, but also the car hitting Dominoes and leaving a hole in the wall, as well as a car hitting Huddle House and leaving a hole in the wall. (Apparently, people here can't drive.)

The replacement of a perfectly good building with a large field of manicured grass.

That building was falling apart. I almost put my foot through the roof a couple times back in the day, and that was only the tip of the iceberg. I do miss the old offices tho...

In November 2001 one of the boilers in TJ blew some kind of seal and filled the entire sub-basement with steam. This would have been OK except that the steam started to condense on the electrical gear powering the building. It ended up burning up the ST switch gear and the transformer outside. 480 volts at 600 amps will burn right through steel, as seen below.
The ST was tapped off the NT's power for a week and most of the lights and half the elevators were turned off in both towers for a week while new gear was being shipped.
