Maybe they were confused. IR was not giving out free Wii or PS3. Stupid dormies. Anyway, yeah...why the fuck would you wait 12hours for an apartment lease. There are way better ones for less. Just look. Go to Century 21 and see what they have.

Just for the record (I'm sure there's an archived post about it somehwere), Investment entered my (and my wife's) apartment more than a week before the lease was over, and started moving out our stuff (while we were still moving into our new place). The "movers" kept a bunch of stuff, including nice sleeping bags, two-way radios, cd players, hundreds of CDs, my family's heirloom silver, nice suitcases, family heirloom jewelry, etc. They said "we returned everything" but just brought back the cheap stuff. Investment claimed we broke the lease, then tried to nail us for damages the previous tenants detailed in their move-in checklist. Then (after we completed our check-out procedures WITH THEIR REPRESENTATIVE IN THE APARTMENT and turned in our key, they dropped more stuff in our apartment and said "look, it's in there, you just forgot it! It's all your fault!" In the end, we threatened to take them to court (had a lawyer and everything) but they settled. We had over $3000 worth of stuff still missing (and some of what was returned was damaged) including priceless family heirlooms that had been passed down for generations.
Oh yeah, and the police refuse to take a report if it's against Investment.
And they routinely refused to fix the leaking walls and windows that lead to a severe mold problem and extreme water damage, and then tried to charge us a fortune to fix it, and would have except we had copies of the repeated requests we sent to them to fix the leaks that were causing water damage and mold.

I remember one time they barged into our house one week and replaced all the windows without letting us know ahead of time. Turns out one of the higher-ups at investment was rennovating the place for his daughter, and then he wasn't going to let us renew our lease after it expired.
Another time we had severe leaking in our bathroom, which caused mold in the basement. It took them at at least a month go finally come over and fix it.
And another time, my roommate's check bounced, so they sent one of their repair men to the house. I was asleep in bed with my girlfriend when the asshole let himself in (with a spare key they had).... I was not happy.
Also don't expect to get one CENT of your deposit back. Infact, they'll find a way to charge you MORE after you move out.

Moving out from under IR in May. They're terrible.
Oh, look who just showed up!
Yeah, Investment came to show our apartment as she was typing that... Great, guess we get three months of that now. We're moving over to the Oak Ridge apartments behind Kap Sig. Basically right next door, but I do NOT want to deal with Investment anymore. When we moved in, they let us know that they were going to send over a signed copy of our complaints with the apartment (i.e. our light sockets were hanging open and exposed, they still haven't fixed our tub, etc.), but they haven't. If they try to charge us for anything, I'm going to demand to know where our signed copy is.
