Anyone heard of a cannon exploding back around 1978? Supposedly, KA had a black powder cannon and it exploded, killing one student. Looking for some info on this incident.

Well, I can confirm that it actually happened. When I was a pledge there, one of the guys told me about it, apparently it was his father's roommate that died. I really don't remember anything else about it though.
Sidenote: No, I'm not in KA anymore. Pledged for a week, then decided frats weren't for me.
They're too busy suing the students and firing anyone who's trying to do some good.

I am willing to give the Miner the benefit of the doubt, in this case. They had an online poll and out of nearly 10 choices, PhD got more than half of the vote.

Anyway, I had heard this from my dad as well. Also have lots of fun stories about KMNR and when the theaters in town (because they had more than the Forum 4) used to have porn nights from the 80's.
