I need some help here figuring out a problem.
My GF dropped and added a new class to her schedule and got charged around $200 extra. Both are 3 credit hour courses and in the same department. Is this some new fee they charge or what???

Just taking a guess here. She signs up for the class so they charge her full price for the class. Then she drops the other class but doesn't get the full refund but I don't think that would account for $200 this early in the semester though.

Certain types of classes have additional fees associated with them. How much, or if a fee is assessed at all varies from course to course. If you think it's wrong, or have a concern about a specific charge, I'd take it up with the cashier's office. They should be able to explain where the charge came from.

I think the registrar office people screwed up. This never happened to me while I was at UMR. I was wondering if they changed the rules because they got more greedy.

That's a possibility as well. I guess I interpreted it as there was an additional charge of $200, rather than just a difference in $200. Once classes start, the most you can get is a 90% refund, and that's only available during the first week of classes. The percentage drops down even lower after that. Either way, the Cashier's office should be able to clear it up.
