My computer "lost" ie did not recognize one of my hard drives, so I
1: Restarted, it didnt show up
2: Shut down and checked connections, didnt show up
THE REAL ISSUE BEGINS
3: Shut down and unhooked all but windows HD, Would get to the screen my MOBO puts up but no futher ie no bios or starting of boot up process
4: double checked connections and repeated process trying with all drives main drive ect, Still only got to that one screen
5: reset bios by moving jumper on MOBO: still only the one screen
6: removed battery on MOBO and put back in, Still no change
7: completely unhook all hardware and removed from tower, removed dust, and put back in tower checking connections, and reorganizing. Still no change...
My comp has been acting kinda funny lately and I dont know if this has anything to do with it. It would randomly freeze for 15-30 seconds work ok for a few minutes then freeze up again, when it was in its freezing fits it would not let me restart or shut down via the start menu or by CAD the best it would ever do from CAD would be to the blue "windows is shutting down" Screen but sit there for hours till I finally manually turned it off.
So does anyone have any ideas of what to try? Thanks.

So I still have no godly idea what is going on, but it randomly started working. I unhooked the drive with Windows on it cuz I was going to test it in another computer, and decided what the hell Ill try it one more time and it got past the first screen and said it was missing something and to restart so I did and entered the bios and set up the order to boot the drives and it started running again. So it turned out to be one of those computer gremlins.

This might sound odd, but it could be your power supply going bad. If the power supply isn't able to supply the board the right amount of voltage there's no telling what it would act like.
So, as some others have suggested, if you have trouble again, like not being able to even start the boot process, try removing ALL of your hard drives, CD ROM drives, and see if the boot process will begin then...
Of course you won't be able to boot into Windows, but if it starts the boot process with no drives, but won't start with some drives connected, it could mean that your power supply is going bad...
