I downloaded Warsow a while ago and played on some other servers out there, but was unable to figure out how to get to be able to enter an IP to connect to our server here. Where on the server listing is it that I need to click?

Unfortunately the Warsow campus server was taken offline for some reason, which I don't know... If you want to play some tomorrow or over spring break, hit me up on xfire: fxblast. Also, ACM might leave a couple servers online over spring break after we set the machines up tomorrow. When we get them running, I'll post the IP addresses.

To join a game via IP, you need to hit the ~ key, which will bring down the console. Then type in the connect command and the IP address to connect to that game. Example:

connect 131.151.151.3:44400

You can paste the IP in the console also!

And the console has command completion...so if you type "conn" and then hit tab - it should fill in the rest of "connect" for you and add a space so you can just hit "conn<tab><ctrl-v>" and enter

For anyone wanting to practice, I have a server running using the settings which will be used at the lan. Here are the IP and port #s:

IP: 131.151.191.77
Port: 44400

To connect to this, open the Warsow console and type this in:

connect 131.151.191.77:44400

Ah. Didn't know that hitting that brought up the console. I looked on the "official" site for Warsow and couldn't find the keylisting at all and I didn't spend the time to find it in game.

Bah, wonder why they took down the server? Oh well. I'll practice on my own a bit. I might show up to MinerLAN, still not sure though. Trying to get some friends to go with me and they're reluctant to move their computers

Since the lan, I had to unplug my router, leading to an IP change. Here's the new address: 131.151.191.7:44400

Also, the MST server is up. You can connect to that either by searching for an internet game, or via this address: q4.games.umr.edu
