First: Interesting info, old UMR signs for sale: http://stores.ebay.com/University-of-Missouri-Surplus

Second: It's one thing if you choose not to make a post yourself informing the community of something like this because you want to keep the prices down. But it's entirely different if you abuse your power as a moderator of these forums to delete posts in which others inform the community of these sales. Explain to me what rule these posts break that justify deleting them?

Haha, I saw them when they started, lot higher now.... I'll be putting one in front of my house, maybe student death... see if anyone wants to trespass.

First: Calm the fuck down. Abusing power would be banning you for getting lippy and acting like a douchebag.

Second: I think this is a misunderstanding. I thought he said someone posted this in the FS/WTB thread which isn't where it belongs so I gave him the okay to delete it. Maybe I misread or maybe he mistyped, regardless, next time just ask why it was deleted instead of speculating.

First: I agree it's a minor abuse of power, not a major one like your example. And me coming across as not calm is just the inherent problem of the internet and not being able to hear my tone or see my body language. It is interesting to see that something as simple as a questioning of authority here which I could have worded better is all it took to get me insulted by the 'powers that be'.

Second: There was the original post in FS/WTB that was also deleted, before my first post in this forum. My first post in this forum did EXACTLY what you said I should have done, which was ask why the original was deleted? Once that was deleted is it that unreasonable for me to suspect abuse? Maybe I was wrong, but I don't think it was an unreasonable suspicion. But yes, a misunderstanding may have taken place between you and LostBoyz. Maybe you should be more interested in why LostBoyz went ahead and deleted the second "Secret's Out" post that was in the UMR forum (the proper forum I think) than insulting me for what reasonably appeared to be selfish reasons for deleting the post. And yes, I did speculate on why it was removed, probably shouldn't have done that or should have at least labeled it as speculation, but I also asked why the thread was deleted. Do you plan to seek an answer for that question?

Sorry for misinterpreting your post as you not being calm, but once again, you're speculating. I don't mind if you question authority, but please be respectful in doing so. I wasn't insulting you because of you questioning, I was insulting you because of the manner in which you went about doing so.

Also, I'm assuming LostBoyz assumed that because I told him he could delete the first one in the FS/WTB that it carried over into other threads (I probably should've suggested he moved it but I wasn't thinking clearly) but I'll check into it. And you are fine to suspect shady behavior and questioning it as well, but once again, watch the manner in which you announce your suspicions without knowing the whole story. Had LB responded and told you that was the reason, I wouldn't be able to defend him nor would I if he was wrong.

And lastly, I'll put my interest where I please. =P

Don't act like there was a mistery as to why it was deleted, I messaged you. I don't appreciate the nature of this post.

In the end you are right, it was wrong of me to delete your thread. I appologize. It won't happen again.

In the future, if there is an issue take it up with staff, they have messaged me about it and we worked out our misunderstanding.

Move along, nothing to see here

You don't need to think LB is on some sinister plan to buy them all up - he just wants the EE one and it's not even listed.

Also, a lot of Alumni are in the know about this and are bidding the crap out of them... so good luck.

Well, I didn't feel it was appropriate to mention your PM (it is called a private message) so I didn't. Re-reading my post I see that in my annoyance at berto's response, my response insinuated more about your actions than I intended to. That was not my intention.

I'll be more careful with the wording of any authority questioning I find myself doing in the future (though disrespect was never my intention).

Also, in the future, now that I realize Chank and Berto aren't the only moderators, I'll just PM one of the admins when I have a concern. Anyways, I'm satisfied with the conclusion of this matter.

The hierarchy of things as they stand are:

Chankster and Berto are acting admins, Heretic and Ryan have admin access but really wont take care of anything forum related

I will probably be the more active moderators out of the group, feel free to contact anyone with any issues.

Thank you for your response, I think this has been resolved.

The UMR signs are for sale, and I find it fucking hilarious that Eman is the lowest priced.
