I was walking down 63 earlier this afternoon around 5 or so and I saw a large cloud of blue hazy smoke go over the historic beureau of mines building, over the subway parking lot, and on down by the old multipurpose building. I just thought it was strange that a giant blue cloud was meandering down the highway.

a few minutes later as i was driving up 63 (i was originally walking to my car) i saw a considerable amount of smoke coming from behind the beureau of mines building again, this time it was a thick yellowish smoke. i almost called 911 since it was so thick and it looked like it was almost coming out of the windows. but i thought it could have been the a/c or the smoke from the kitchens in havener.

just curious if anyone else witnessed anything that might explain this

Yeah, it was hella smoky last week too... smelled like burning paper or something. BOM2 is used for paint and coatings labs, might be related.

I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I've heard that they are testing smoke screens for the military. That makes sense since I was in Havener one day and smelled something burning and saw the smoke outside. It definitely wasn't the smell of a regular fire.
