I have no idea where it was, my dad sent it to me in an email (as a forward), and I expected it to actually be dead. When it jumped at the camera, it made me jump a bit.

And as a person that has been bitten by a snake, it isn't too bad. However, one that big may be a different story. The one that bit me was only about 3 feet long, and its fangs were basically short needles. It was not poisonous.

ya, i was kind of guilty of that as well. hopefully it wasn't anywhere near rolla, although i wouldn't be surprised if a big snake like that were to actually live in some sewer or near some pond there.

I don't think any species of snake in America gets anywhere near that large. I would guess it is probably an anaconda from South America.
