I happen to have to unfinished metal pads at my parents' house. I had the hardest time getting the buttons to work quickly and fluently.... It's been an ongoing project that I've pretty much given up on....

I think they look really nice, but they have terrible functionality...

I never tried TOO hard to get them to work, and I'm starting to become frustrated with my cheap mats...so it's a project that I hope to pick up again someday.

I noticed that playing in the arcade was much harder for me, it seemed like I had to step on the buttons REALLY hard, and it wore me out pretty quick.
