I know I'm a freak for actually WANTING to go get my teeth cleaned/checked but I was wondering who everyone used in town. All I want is a cleaning - not a commitment - which may or, more likely, may not be cheap without insurance. Any suggestions?

If all you want is a cleaning, I wouldn't recommend the lady at Wedgewood Dental. She does decent work but for crying out loud, she thinks she knows more about my teeth than I do. She won't do a cleaning until all the repair work is done, which means a full exam and drill & fill all the cavities before she'll clean the teeth. I asked her why and she said well you have to do things in the proper order. Well stupid wench ust clean my teeth so I won't GET any more cavities. I don't have $1600 to do the root canal, even though my tooth hurts like something that hurts a lot, but I'll gladly give you $40 to shine 'em up nice.

My girlfriend used to work for her, and I'll second not going to Wedgewood.

From what I've heard, she's pretty fond of ripping off her patients.

I go to forum dental, which, counterintuitively is off of tenth street past forum. It is a very professional place. So far my experience has been great.

I have a coupon for a free cleaning and check-up there, I should probably act on it soon.
