So, ever since I've been here I've heard of the "Rolla Princess" aka the bitchy girls that think that since they're the only girls here, they're worth more than everyone else... which makes them really bitchy and pushy in general.

I don't think I've run into any :shrug: but while I was up at Mizzou this weekend, I had two girls on different days at completely unrelated places give me a bitchy "Thanks" for walking through a door that I'd been holding for my gf. I wasn't rude, but I'm not going to sit there and hold the door for 54 million people either

I'm pretty sure admissions' standards are way lower for those who check the 'F' box. There was one girl I knew who had claimed she applied on a whim without a transcript or ACT score or anything really merit based, just her name and information, and still got in. While I'm bitching about admissions, while they're bragging about record attendance, they still don't have any place to put anyone else, its gonna be a bitch when south tower closes

I don't think its a myth at all. I think that's about all I can say on a public forum.

PS - if you are a rolla princess reading this and thinking "That bastard! I wonder if he is talking about me". Odds are good that I am talking about you. There are a lot of you out there, chances are one of you will see this.

Living in this city a quarter decade has given me a lot of time to study the Rolla Princess in her natural habitat, and trust me, I've seen plenty. It's a natural consequence of the male:female ratio. They have multiple males to choose from, and some take advantage by manipulating desperate males into giving them what they want. Luckily not all of them are like this, but it is incredibly difficult to not be cynical about women and relationships at this school.

Rolla Princesses are just a result of natural selection, but they really don't bother me. I've become quite apathetic towards the opposite sex after 5 years here. At least Rolla Princesses make for nice scenery, usually.
