I want to buy an older video card, to upgrade from my on board Intel SomethingOrOther.

Specifically, I'm trying to run something that cites this as the minimum requirements "NVIDIA GeForce 2, GeForce 4 MX, or better OR ATI Radeon 8500, 9250, or better", and I've not done a whole lot of gaming so I don't know where current video cards fall against those.

I'd need a card that functions with Linux, (Ubuntu, specifically), but I think that ATI and NVIDIA roll their own binary blob drivers for their cards. I don't expect this to be an issue.

I'd also prefer an AGP card, but I think they just about all are like that these days.

Anyone got something laying around that they'd be willing to part with for $20? Or, am I lowballing the price way to much?

Damn, I think I threw out a geforce mx 420 like a week ago. I'll look around for it though and if I find it, I'll let ya know.

I think your price seems reasonable for the technology.

Ive got a 6600gt that i just pulled from my machine. The hsf fan is dead although it'll still work for general stuffs.

I've got a HSF from a evga 6800 that might work for the 6600
